Jim Wistman Speaks at IIB Anti-Money Laundering Seminar

New York, NY – May 27, 2011 – ICS Director Jim Wistman was invited to speak at the Institute of International Bankers 2011 Annual Anti-Money Laundering Seminar in New York on May 23rd. It was the 8th time Mr. Wistman spoke at this prestigious annual event.

This year, Mr. Wistman placed ICS’s leading edge insights into the Dodd Frank Act, CISADA, and FCPA into a comprehensive and user-friendly legislative historical framework; he then forecasted how these U.S. legislative actions will likely impact Compliance Officers at all foreign banking organizations with U.S. operations. Mr. Wistman also commented on the convergence of several U.S. and international law enforcement authorities’ activities (e.g., IRS, FinCEN and Interpol), and how they are likely to respond to the so-called “Arab Spring.”

All IIB participants were encouraged to stay “ahead of the curve.”  For these unique insights, please see Mr. Wistman's slideshow here: IIB Presentation May 2011_Final_ICSCompliance-JWistman.pdf (729.98 kb)
